Lauren's Way Gradual Tan

My camera is still a no go at the moment so I have resorted to my blackberry camera.
This is my first review and as it's summer I thought I'd go for fake tan! I was actually lucky enough to be given this for free in the infamous Bloggers Boutique goody bag, and the mit I bought for only 25p! Bargain or what?

It's a gel fake tan so applies really easily - I simply rubbed into the skin using circular motions squeezing a small amount onto the mit each time. It goes on really light so you have to be careful not to miss patches and make sure you rub in an even layer. I was really pleased with the results as it has a matte finish making it look very natural. Another plus is that it dries very quickly and doesn't leave you feeling sticky when you get dressed! As it's a gradual tan I will continue using this everyday to build up the colour before my holiday next week so I'm not the only milk bottle on the beach.

I would definitely recommend this to first time or experienced tan users!

Have any of you got any fake tan recommendations?

Footwear Faves

*All images have been sourced from Tumblr and Google Images*

I've been a bit stuck for posts recently as I've been forgetful as usual and lost my camera memory card and haven't bought new batteries for it yet. With summer on the door step I haven't got long before my holiday to turkey for a week! I'm so excited and have got some last minute purchases to make, one of the most important being SHOES.

Until recently I've never seen shoes as interesting or important in an outfit as clothes, but after buying my creepers I'm fascinated! I'm literally saving for every colour creeper there is out there...
The classics such as Converse and Litas will never go out of fashion so will always be a great investment. It was a tough choice between Docs and Creepers for my first major shoes purchase but Doc Martins are defo on my wishlist. No festival goer is complete without some Hunters, Nike Blazers are huge hit right now and I must admit I have a soft spot for Vans, especially these studded beauties!

Now there's just the impossible decision of choosing which shoes I'll be rocking this summer?!

How to wear stripes

This season stripes has been a major hit! Especially in the form of leggings or jeans, which I have seen pasted all over Tumblr and throughout Blogland. I bought these leggings from Newlook a while back, they were only about £8.
I'm wearing Creepers in all these outfits as they are typically paired with these leggings and look great together.
Outfit 1: The top is from primark and was featured in my very first post because of the peterpan collar
Outfit 2: I tie dyed this tshirt myself and absolutely love it! Hopefully this is an upcoming trend for summer
Outfit 3: The top is an old denim shirt from Primark and the jumper is from H&M. They are both old purchases so it was nice to dig them out from the wardrobe and give them a new lease of life.
These are one of my most interesting pairs of leggings and I hope to wear them a lot more!

Guns 'N' Roses

Hat:Primark Tshirt:H&M Shorts:Topshop Creepers:Ebay

I treated myself to these shorts a few weeks back as I desperately needed an outfit for a party. They were a very last minute purchase and I wasn't even sure if I'd wear them again, but I love them! The stripes are ultra cute and candy colours are a growing trend at the moment. They are quite hard to pair with outfits but this grunge Guns 'N' Roses crop tee works really well as it gives the shorts a more edgy look, and the Creepers fit right in!
I don't usually wear hats but it was a present from my boyfriend and the colour goes well with this outfit. I'm obsessed with burgundy at the moment so expect to see this colour popping up throughout my posts.

Creeper Purchase

I'm glad to say that I finally plucked up the courage and purchased a pair of Creepers! I spent weeks debating this but after speaking to other bloggers and doing some Tumblr research I decided they would be a great edition to my collection. Luckily I was right, they are my new favourite thing and are so versatile they go with absolutely everything! I got them from ebay at a mere £25 which is peanuts compared to the £95 underground price, and to be honest I cant tell the difference in quality.
It is safe to say that this is only the start of my Creeper obsession, I might get some pastel ones for summer as a whole new range of styles has just been released.

Happy Creeping

Snowed Under

Cant believe I haven't posted in nearly 2 weeks!
I thought I'd post to share my excuse with you hehe. I've spent my whole half term stuck inside revising for my math and science GCSE modules, but it gets worse... starting on the 21st I have a week of mock exams in every subject, including an all day art exam!

My room has been invaded by post it notes as you can see, but hopefully all my hard work will pay off. I'll try to do some OOTD posts in the coming weekends and if not then I'll definitely be posting regularly from July onwards!

Good luck to anyone else with exams coming up!

Bloggers Boutique

On the 26th of May I attended the star studded, Lita loaded Bloggers Boutique held at the Drift Bar on Liverpool street! I went with 2 of my school friends Debbie: naturalbeings.blogspot.com, and Addie: rockin-in-heels.blogspot.com

I was so nervous as we were the youngest ones there and I'm relatively new to blogging, so I felt slightly intimidated by all the well known faces due to attend. To make matters worse we got lost on the way to the venue! This did however have a plus side, as we got to meet some fellow bloggers who were also lost.

Throughout the event we were treated to many talks and demonstrations from brands such as Betty Hula, Filthy Gorgeous, Internacionale, and Motel Rocks. We mingled with many bloggers as you can see from the pictures above! It was so nice to be able to put a face to some of the blogs I love and follow.

The cherry on the cake was definitely the free goodie bag everyone recieved at the end! I couldn't believe it weighed so much! Lauren's Way fake tan, false eyelashes, eyeliners, conditioners, Filthy Gorgeous and Betty Hula products were all included inside, aswell as a LOOK magazine to read on the way home.

I had a wonderful day and would like to congratulate Shope,Shore, and Amy on organising and hosting such a successful day, can't wait for the next Bloggers Boutique!
